- Due to the food combination, it provides complete protein through mutual supplementation. Vegetarian sources of protein like cereals, pulses, vegetables, and fruits do not provide all the essential amino acids. However, mixing 2 ingredients provides complete amino acids required for healthy growth. Combining 2 food groups to get complete protein is called mutual supplementation.
